Diabetic Ways to Stay Healthy

Monitor your blood sugar regularly (glucose monitor helps)
Eat a balanced diet and try to keep your carbs low
Add some exercise into your daily routine, even if it's a 20 minute walk
Keep your stress levels low (I know this is hard sometimes, but do what you can)
Visit your doctor/nurse/dietician/health care provider on a regular basis
Get your eyes checked at least yearly
Get a good nights sleep
Connect with others who have diabetes, sometimes it's nice to share experiences and stories, or helpful tips
Smile, be positive, and make some positive changes to stay on track
